INTRODUCING....JOEY!

This weekend we headed down to visit Kitty & Al and their new miracle, JOEY! He's almost 10 days old here and pretty darn cute for a brand new baby. They're usually still crinkley and raisiney. So we took them some frozen meals courtesy of the Hindman clan that live abroad and got to visit with the little man. We were the first visitors to hear him cry (he didn't like the cold when he was changed) and we got to see his yellow fountain that could rival the fountains at the Bellagio in Vegas. Al told us Joey managed to hit the toaster when he was changing him near the kitchen the day before. We also got to visit with Alicia, little Dougie (who is so much the little man himself; he wants nothing to do with the kids and everything to do with the adults asking very smart intuitive questions all the time; it's scary!), Faith (who plays the little mommy to Joey) and a special visit with cousin John in from California for the weekend.

NOTE! Dorothy and Judy: do NOT get any ideas seeing your children holding babies. It was sweet for the moment. But thats' it!

ITALY???

Uh no. This is actually the canals in the Venetian in Las Vegas. We did a quick 3 day sidetrip to Vegas on our way home from Utah 2 weekends ago. I had no idea the drive was so quick. We'll have to go again soon. It was nice to enjoy some warmer weather in January too. The best was walking in the see-through tunnel in the lion habitat at MGM Grand. When we got there the lions were asleep on top of the tunnel so we got to see them up close and personal as they snoozed. You could put your hand on the ceiling and feel the warmth from their tummies or measure your hand to their paw. Scary big! The worst was Tracy getting kicked out of New York New York for reading a book. The security guy said if you're not drinking or gambling you need to move along. Nyah!
